1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Related technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and device identifiers. This notice uses “cookies” as a convenient term for these browser-storage technologies.

2. The public ClipForge site

The pages served at clipforge.tools are static HTML with a small purchase-page script. The script calls the licensing service to show current offers and begin Stripe Checkout. It keeps the email, plan, and random Checkout attempt identifier in browser session storage for this tab. It is reused only within one hour and removed when the purchase page next loads after that, allowing a canceled or interrupted Checkout to resume without creating a second chargeable session. The site does not create an account session, measure visitors with analytics, or place optional cookies. We do not use it for cross-site advertising or profiling.

Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security mechanisms or short-lived cookies when needed to identify malicious traffic, apply bot or abuse controls, or maintain service integrity. Those mechanisms are not used by CTF Designs for advertising or audience analytics.

3. Checkout, billing, and email links

A ClipForge purchase link takes you to a Stripe-hosted Checkout page. Subscription-management links take you to Stripe’s Billing Portal. Stripe may set cookies or use similar technologies for authentication, fraud prevention, payment processing, security, localization, and legal compliance. These operate on Stripe-controlled pages and are governed by Stripe’s notices and controls.

Transactional email is delivered through Resend. Opening a verification, recovery, cancellation, or billing link may disclose ordinary request information to the linked service. ClipForge transactional messages are not used to enroll you in a marketing list.

4. Desktop software storage is different

The ClipForge desktop application stores local settings, project data, job state, encrypted service credentials you choose to configure, and signed licensing records on your device or self-hosted system. Those application files are not website cookies. If you open the local web interface, it may use essential same-origin session and anti-forgery cookies to protect local settings and actions; those are functional security controls, not advertising trackers.

5. Your controls

You can use browser controls to inspect or delete cookies and other site data. Blocking essential provider cookies may prevent Stripe Checkout, subscription management, abuse protection, or secure local application actions from working. Because the current public site uses no optional cookies, there is no ClipForge preference center to manage.

6. Future changes

If we add analytics, advertising, personalization, or another non-essential browser technology, we will update this notice and implement consent controls before use where applicable. We will not silently redefine optional tracking as essential.
